Six years experience installing PAX Wardrobes
From a simple single unit to a bank of fully loaded wardrobes Keith has a wealth of knowledge and many years experience of assembling the IKEA PAX range.
The wardrobes are 1 metre 75cm or 50cm wide units and available in two different heights to suit your ceilings. There is an enormous range of drawers, slide out storage baskets, shoe racks, pull out jewelry drawers hanging rails etc.
Automatic sensor lighting can be added to illuminate the interior when the doors are opened. This adds a really high class feature.
Various ranges of hinged doors, including mirrored and a large range of sliding doors can be selected.
Take a look on the IKEA website, there’s a PAX wardrobe planner to help make your selection.
There’s an endless variety of combinations to fill the space available.
It’s worth taking a photograph of your room, taking very accurate measurements of space available including your ceiling height and visiting the design people at IKEA
Whilst Keith is unable to undertake any major electrical work. Fitting the lights and installing the light cables to connect with a nearby existing socket is within his remit.
Cutting a hole in the back panel of the wardrobe to expose a socket is often the easiest methof of hiding any lighting cables at the back of the wardrobe.
If space is very limited the wardrobe carcass can be assembled upright in place. However, its quicker, easier and safer to assemble the units flat and lift them up, given enough room.
Every job is different, so why not give Keith a call or email for a fixed price quotation. It helps to send a list or design drawing of the items that require installation.
The PAX range offers a long lasting, solid, quality range of furniture at an affordable price. In my opinion far better than freestanding wardrobes.
